Capabilities

We are great at plastics, metals, woods, and composites. We design & engineer for injection molding, blow molding, machining, casting, and other common manufacturing processes. We have a deep understanding of these materials & processes, as well as secondary operations & assembly.

We have done projects in these categories: Consumer Products, Consumer Electronics, Wearables, Drones, Robotics, Kitchenware, Sports Products, Furniture*, Home Interior Products, Lighting, Medical Products, Dental Products, Cosmetics, Consumer Packaged Goods, Industrial Equipment*

*We usually don’t prototype these in-house. In-house prototyping toolsets include 3D printers, CNC machines, hand tools, and paint booth. We do not have large-scale metal working or wood working equipment.

Risk

We have a proven track record of designing products for manufacturing and getting them to volume production. Drawing something in CAD is almost limitless, creating a prototype is relatively easy, designing something for manufacturing is hard. Design something for manufacturing with as little compromise as possible on every other product aspect is what we excel at.

Cost

The majority of our projects are $20k - $30k per month. Pricing depends on scope of work, complexity, and deliverables. Bringing hardware products to market is a commitment. A good place to start is having an idea of your product margin goals and projected volume. In our initial conversations, we’ll make sure the numbers make sense.

Time

Most of our projects are one to eight months (with additional support in transitioning to volume production). We’ve developed a unique process that streamlines a design cycle and shrinks timelines relative to industry standards. In many cases, you won’t find anyone faster.

Quality of work

We combine years of design expertise with creativity and cutting-edge software & hardware toolsets to create beautifully considered deliverables that are on par with those of much larger firms.

Generally, if we can do all (or most) of your project in-house, we’ll provide great value relative to other options.
